Okay so I just got my SSAT score and I got a 89% composite (90% composite for gender, not that it matters) I got 98% reading 92% verbal and 51% math. I’m fully aware the math is very bad but it’s better than the last time I took it, 44% math 87% composite. I took the most recent test with only a month of studying. I really don’t know what the problem with math is but from what my siblings have said it’s gotten significantly harder. I’m applying mainly to HADES ( I know I’m not going to get into Exeter and Andover). My first choice is St.Pauls because I have legacy, more than one sibling went there. I will be taking the test at least one more time but I would like to know how much higher my score needs to be. There are no significant hooks in my application besides community service, chorus and musical theater, and legacy.
Also for reference SPS average is 87%. Also applying to Lawrenceville (2nd choice).
Also have been solely studying for math.
Hey @cubsfan48 , great to hear you are applying to SPS. Based upon a recent experience with legacies, I would think you need to pull up the math to garner admission. Your reading and verbal scores are very good. It is just that SPS has become very competitive. Keep up the good work. Fingers crossed for you that your third time is the charm! :)>-
Thank you for your help! @CallieMom
SPS definetly - Legacies are very important!
