Is Swarthmore a good choice for someone who is quirky and loves the performing arts?

Hi I was wondering if Swarthmore would be a great choice for someone who is quirky and wants to be involved in the theater scene. I was wondering if Swarthmore would be able to give me that and would it also have an active theater scene. I want to become an actor but I also want to receive a liberal arts education and experience a close-knit community. Besides majoring in Theater, I am interested in double majoring in Comparative Literature as well. Overall, would Swarthmore be the right environment for someone who prefers performing over sports?

It worked out pretty well for Steve Lang: <a href=“Stephen Lang - Wikipedia”>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Lang

And actually there is a lot more theater at Swarthmore now than there was 40 years ago, when Steve was a student. A number of Swatties are involved in theater, including Pig Iron Theatre Company in nearby Philadelphia:

As a small, liberal arts college, however, there will be fewer productions happening than at a larger school. On the other hand, there will probably be more opportunity to get involved, either on stage or behind the scenes, for the productions that do take place.
