Is Swarthmore too much of a reach?

I am currently a junior at a very competitive high school from new england. Swarthmore has been my top school for a while now and when I visited last fall I fell even more in love with it, in no small part because of the amazing tour guide I had.

While my current GPA, 3.4 is low, it because of a very poor sophomore year where I battled family issues and multiple surgeries and sicknesses all year.

My course schedule has been very rigorous
Freshman year:
AP Chem
Honors Wold History, Algebra II, English
CP Band and Latin
Sophomore year:
AP Bio
Honors US History, Trigonometry, English
CP Band and Latin
Junior year:
AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, AP English Composition, AP Macroeconomics
IB Latin
Senior year (planned):
Multivariate Calculus, Organic Chemistry at a local college
AP Literature
IB Latin

Except for sophomore year, I have been a solid A/B student, but that one year is keeping me in the top half of my class and not top quarter or tenth. Also, as a note, my grade’s average for the top half is 3.8, but I have had the most rigorous schedule of anyone.

Extracurriculars:
Eagle scout, active scout for 7 years
Current 3 year member, will be all 4 years, of Junior Classical League, am currently one of the state Council members, and this summer will be my second year going to the national convention.
This will be my third year going to the model UN convention, will go again next year.
I spent a week volunteering with Safe Passage, am currently organizing and leading a school trip for next year.
2 years working at a golf course, 1 year working at a movie theater, currently am the treasurer for a local hockey club.
Auditioned and made it into a regional band.
I may not have many EC’s but I’m hoping that the eagle scout, JCL, and Safe Passage show strong leadership capabilities.

SAT/ACT
Very recently took the SATs and as such have not received the grades yet, but mid to high 1500s is expected through PSATs and super scoring. My ACTs I have yet to take, but standardized testing has always been a strong suit of mine, and as such I am expecting around 34.

I am also hoping to get in touch with the track coach, as I have potential to be recruited for their throwing team. With high school weights I am at 40’ in shot put, 90’ in discus, 120’ in javelin, and can score mid 3000s in the decathlon, all of whice would put me just below the current level of their team, and with another 3 seasons of high school and I can get up their level. I am also almost guaranteed a spot as a captain next year.
