My daughter has fallen in love with Syracuse! She is a junior and just returned from a campus visit. I knew it had everything she would want! Her GPA is between 3.4 and 3.5, she will retake the SAT’s in June (first score was 1420, 3 part, but her recent practice tests are around 1550). She does not have any honors courses or AP classes but has a solid transcript. She also has consistent extracurriculars in sports and tons of volunteer experience. She is not yet clear on a major and we are wondering if she should apply undecided and what her chances are? Is Syracuse out of the question for her or a possibility? Any insight is much appreciated!
She has a shot, but try for one of the less competitive schools within Syracuse. Certainly not Newhouse, iSchool, L.C. Smith or Whitman. ED would help a lot.
My S got into Newhose last year ED with a 3.4 but he had a 2250.

Thank you soze! That’s kind of what we are thinking, that it’s not completely out of the realm for her, but it’s worth a “shot” as you say! 
We’ll keep working on improving those scores!
I think her GPA is fine but if she wants a good shot she should raise her SATS to a 1750+
I’m also looking to apply to Syracuse but I’m looking to apply for early decision to UB. My GPA is at a 3.7 so I dont think it should be a problem.
