Is Tae Kwon Do a sports or EC?

My D is very passionate about Tae Kwon Do and spend around 6 hrs a week in class and practice. She will get her black belt this year. Is this considered an EC or a sport?
Should she continue this for her Junior year or take up some other EC.

I would think both. Definately a sport. Also an EC. Continue it if she enjoys it.

Yea, it can easily be either.

yes it is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I think sports are extra-curriculars.

sports and extracurriculars are one and the same

My son is a very accomplished TKD black belt competitor who just began his freshman year at Wheaton College, MA. Wheaton was my son's first choice, but he made sure all the colleges he applied to were within one hour of his TKD instructor so he could continue his training since he has the same passion for TKD as your daughter. It really is not that important whether you list TKD as a sport or activity, but it is very important to let the college know about her passion and dedication for something that requires so much discipline and commitment as TKD. Wheaton was very interested in what TKD meant to my son and how it helped them learn more about him as a person.
