<p>AP Physics (C-Mech or 1) is pretty much designed to be taken with no prior physics experience other than Physical Science. AP Chem tends to be a lot easier if you have a solid chemistry class before it, and kids generally have a regular bio before AP Bio, but it’s probably not absolutely necessary.</p>

<p>My daughter is currently taking AP Physics 1. It looks to me like the equivalent of an Honors Physics class when AP Physics B existed. You can probably get away with taking AP Physics 1 instead of pre-AP Physics junior year. If you want, take Physics 2 senior year, or go with a lighter class schedule. Make sure you have met graduation requirements.</p>
