Is taking a community college class worth it?

Hi everyone, I’m a junior in high school right now. I’ve taken all IB/honor weighted courses for the past three years and have gotten all As. However, I am interested in business, and my school doesn’t offer many business schools. Due to this, I was thinking about taking the Principles of Business class online over the summer and an Introduction to Finance online in the Spring. These classes would add to my GPA and show colleges that I’m pursuing my passion for business in a diverse set of ways as many kids don’t do this. Also, a few kids are shooting for similar schools who take online courses in association with the North Carolina School of Science and Math, so I feel like this would be an excellent way to keep me in the front of the pack. The downside is that community college credits won’t transfer to private schools I want to attend like Wake Forest or Duke. I think this a good idea overall, but what do you guys think?
