<p>I just went onto the McGill website and finished my application. It seemed like they didn't require a lot of information. There was no essay, no self report grades, or a list of current courses I'm taking.</p>
<p>Is this normal?
How do I get them to know that I meet their requirements for Engineering? </p>

<p>McGill will want a transcript from your high school at some point and your SAT/ACT scores.</p>
<p>Yes, for Canadian universities, it is normal to have no requirements for essay, letters, resume, first-born child etc… They will probably want first semester marks at some point and that will tell them what courses you are taking.</p>

<p>I have just finished my application to McGill; after keying in my credit card number and clicking on the button “Pay” on its website, I accidentally logged out of my account. </p>
<p>After a while, I checked with my bank and realised that about 100 odd dollars was deducted from my bank account. Then, I went to my McGill application account and my transaction status was reflected as that I have paid the amount of 100 dollars to them.</p>
<p>So, does this mean that my application is already submitted to them and that they should receive it?</p>
<p>There’s an application for major scholarships where there are places to fill out your extracurriculars and the chance to write an essay. Should I fill this out? I just barely missed the GPA requirement of 95, but that’s because my school does not weight grades. If I factor in my APs, I’m sure I have over 95. </p>

<p>Fill out the application anyways–I assume that by “barely missed,” you are between 94.5 and 95% which they might round to a 95%. Also, your grades may change between now and when they make a decision–it does not require much to take you up a quarter or half a percentage. As well, there are a variety of ways to calculate an average, so if you are close to 95%, I would be inclined to apply, especially if your EC’s and essay are strong. </p>

<p>Ah, thanks for the advice. My GPA is 94 unweighted, but at the end of this year, I’ll have close to 10 APs. And I think my first semester grades are pretty strong.</p>
<p>Worst case scenario, I just won’t get the scholarship. Still cheaper than most US schools though.</p>
<p>The only problem is, they want interim reports by Jan 21st. My reports don’t come out until about a week after that. Would sending it in then be a problem?</p>
