My history teacher told me that out of all the students that took the test last year, only 1, that's right 1, person got a 5.....

Is she just a bad teacher, are the students at my school stupid, or is the test really that difficult.....

I go to a pretty crappy high school in piscataway new jersey. but there are at least like 40 really smart people every year that go to good colleges.

No it's not hard. I didn't study much and I got a 5. Then again, my schools pretty good. Out of around 60 people, around 25 got a 5. I was surprised how many jocks got a 5.

I've found that AP test scores often depend A LOT on the teacher -- I mean, of course people who are naturally gifted and hard working (much like most of the people you'll find on CC) will do well no matter what; but the one who really makes the difference of good scores in NUMBERS is a good teacher who will help you understand the content.

The US test probably isn't much more difficult (as a test, perhaps not on content) than other AP tests, so I wouldn't worry too too much. Unless you're terrible at history AND have a bad teacher and get a 2 on the World test, like me. ^_^;;;

I'd say your teacher isn't very good, or that the student body isn't very good. I thought the APUSH exam, while not extremely easy, wasn't too much of a chanllenge either.

i bombed a full free response section the 2 questions out of 4 thing and talked about a different time period than what it was asking and still got a 5 don;t wrry lol

"I got a 4, probably because I bombed a certain woman's rights DBQ which is a topic that we did not go into much detail in my class."

Yah, that DBQ was pretty ridiculous. And it was on womens rights pre-1860! We never learned about that, we just had the feminist movement etc. But even with that I'd say the USH Ap is one of the easiest out there, definitely easier than say Lit or Chem. Pretty much our entire class of 230 takes it besides the select few who take regence and are simply put-- either idiots, or my friend who didn't want to do the summer work. But even with all these kids taking the exam 50% of our class managed to get 5's.

Almost my entire class got a five. I was one of the few to four-it. My teacher was amazing, however.
But no, not that difficult.

I'm kinda shocked that only one kid got a five...but then again, my teacher is amazing...
We would do practice DBQs a lot...that helps. And read up on women in history. And just know a lot of general knowledge...
And yeah.
