hey i was wondering just that and is it more concentrated in sciences and stuff? or is it more for like environmental majors? im interested in medicine and i dont know which to choose CALS or CAS? please help.

CALS is very good for pre-med. Especially if you're in-state, I would recommend CALS. It'll be easier to get in, and easier to pay for it.

You can major in anything and do premed so just about any school (outside of maybe Hotel and Architecture) is fine for premed.

I agree with norcal. You take the required courses so you start to learn in med school, right? ILR and Human Ecology might be a stretch too; what do you think norcal? But arts, engineering, and cals would all be great.

stick to the state schools if you're a resident; it's much cheaper.

Someone earlier posted that engineering would be a good choice for pre-med as well, not just CALS or CAS.

If your interested in Pre-med, I don't recommend you do engineering. Grades are important for medical school and engineering at Cornell is ruthless - consequently, many people have grade deflation due to this. As an engineer, you won't have much time for doing extracurricular activities (which are important for medical school) either. CALS or CAS would be a great idea for pre-med but for your own sake, unless you really love engineering (emphasis on love), go to CALS or CAS and stay out of engineering. Furthermore, your social life will be significantly better if your in CALS or CAS and you'll have so much more fun.
