Is the CSS profile required for University of Southern California? (Int'l student)

4852 - Univ of Southern California, CA
Priority Filing: 10-Feb-2014
Int'l Students - Does not accept

This is what it says when I try to choose USC from the list of colleges...
Yes I'm an international student,

So what does that mean?
What am I supposed to send as an int'l student? :/
I remember reading from the USC website itself that I need to send CSS profile..

This webpage seems to indicate that there is no need-based finaid available for international undergrad applicants which would make profile or another need-based application moot:

[USC Financial Aid - Applying & Receiving Financial Aid - International Students](http://www.usc.edu/admission/fa/applying_receiving/international/)

As linked above, International students are not eligible for need-based aid at USC.

International students are considered for all major merit-based scholarships (Mork/Stamps/Trustee/Presidential) as well as scholarships specifically for International students (International Freshman Academic 1/2 tuition award). http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/private/1415/uscScholarships1415.pdf</a></p>

To be eligible for USC merit scholarships, you MUST submit your application by December 1st, 2013 (tomorrow). No exceptions.

thanks for the info. guys!
I submitted my application now

but one more thing,
it says I have to submit the Financial Statement of Personal or Family Support at the time of application :/

Do I print it out, fill in the info.
and then scan it again and email?

You can email it or mail it. But you also need to send the bank verification.
admitusc@usc.edu

If you submitted the Profile to USC as an international student, you have just wasted a lot of time, and a bit of money. The school will NOT review this for you as you are an international student.

Send the school an email about how to send your certificate of finances. Keep in mind that you will have to demonstrate, that your family has the FULL cost of attending the college (for a full year) in hand or you will not get a visa to study here.

@thumper1
luckily I didn’t
I had actually checked out the wrong page for scholarships,
I think I went to financial aid>freshman application
over there I saw the need for CSS profile

But when I was about to send CSS, it said it does not accept for int’l, so I went back to usc.edu and checked requirements again,
Then saw they had a diff. page for int’l students

and just one more question,
What does “Applicant’s Sponsor” mean?
it’s on the financial statement form,
http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/apply/documents/12_Part2_Int_Form.pdf</a></p>

There is already a separate space to enter ‘name of sponsor’ and ‘relation to applicant’,
so what must I enter in that particular line?

-been having a lot of trouble accessing CC forums lately, server is busy message comes up. Is it just me or does everyone have the trouble?

A sponsor is a person, scholarship or agency that guarantees it will pay your college-related costs.
