<p>They are basically the same. You can look up practice tests online or buy the books to compare them better... the only difference I can think of is that the ACT sometimes asks logic questions i.e. "where should sentence 3 be placed for the sake of logic," to make paragraphs make better sense and such. Other than that the questions are very similar.</p>
<p>I missed 1 on SAT writing, and got 34 on ACT English, which corresponds to 2 or 3 (I think) wrong. The ACT has way more questions though, so I'd say they have about the same difficulty as well as content.</p>
<p>I scored much better on the SAT W. Although the questions are similar, the formats differ by an appreciable amount. The paragraph format of the ACT threw me off a tad. The ACT Eng is less organized in a sense; unlike the SAT questions, the ACT questions are not separated distinctly on the page.</p>
