Hello everyone I am a rising junior and I need some assistance with the courses I am taking next year. We sign up for classes in 2 weeks and this is what I plan on doing:

1st Semester
1. AP Biology (yearlong)
2. AP English Language (yearlong)
3. Honors US History (a lot of info to fit in one semester)
4. Honors Physics (no AP)

2nd Semester
1. AP Biology
2. AP English Language
3. Honors Psychology
4. Honors Pre-Calc
I would take more AP's but taking only 2 fills up half of my schedule for the year.

I have talked to the AP Bio teacher and he said he would be surprised if anyone pulls an A in his class (hope he is kidding.) Biology is my best subject (had a 99 in Honors Bio)

English is a different story. I'm not the best at it and that's why I feel that I need a year of the subject. I talked to my AP English teacher also and she said we will be doing a ton of papers and analyzing communication skills.

I also play football in the fall, run track in the spring, belong to 8 clubs and volunteer a ton.

Do you think I can balance all of this and still pull an A in all of these classes?

Nate, I too dislike English but yet I’m in AP Lit. However, don’t be turn off by english stuffs, if you think you have too much then you could decrease your clubs…

I like it, it looks like you’re going at an appropriate pace which is good. Also 8 clubs is a lot. My school only recommends students to at least have 2 clubs.

Here at the school I attend Ap Bio is a breeze because the teacher uses the all the quizzes U take for that unit and make into a test. So basically everyone studies the all their quizzes and then take essay portion of the test. Most nights there online reading quizzes and reading passages.
Ap LAN is a different story, lots of essays however its good practice too and reading great literature works like the scarlett letter, the great gatsby, and so on

AP Bio and all english classes are extremely difficult at my school, easier at some, harder at others I’m sure. It just depends on your school.

Everything looks good to me, but 8 clus seems a little ridiculous. Just keep the ones that are meaningful to you.

@alwaysleah: My school does a, “block schedule” which means we only have 4 classes each semester. But these classes are 90 minutes long and only a semester, unless you take AP.
