Recently, I was talking with my AP Statistics teacher, who is in communication with Daren Starnes, the head of the AP Stat grading board. She said that the new AP Policy of not deducting points for wrong answers would most likely be in affect at this year's grading as it is already a passed AP Policy.

I don’t think any of the AP teachers at my school know about this policy yet. I’m graduating tomorrow though, so I guess I won’t get to tell them.

They definitely can’t put the policy into place this year. On each of the AP exams there is a page that we read before we begin working. (called “At a glance”). On that page, there is a paragraph about random guessing in which it clearly states that 1/4 will be deducted for each wrong answer. I’m pretty sure this was on all my AP tests this year.

Yeah, there is no way they would have put this into effect this year. They would have had to have told us about it. There was no mention of it and I believe it is effective starting in 2011.

I took AP English Language and Composition and it’s going to save me from taking a required English: College Reading and Writing course. I would suggest taking it if you can get credit for it.

I agree, there’s no way they would change a policy that was so clearly stated for this years exams. Can you imagine the complications? People could sue college board, haha.

I think AP Lit is a great course. Why would you suggest not doing it?
