Is the quality of recommendations taken into consideration?

I'm a junior, but I'm already thinking about prospective teachers I could ask to write my recommendations. I would like to ask teachers who know me, who teach classes in which I show eagerness and passion. One such teacher, my AP US History teacher, is a sweet lady, and I'm sure she'd have a lot of positive things to say about me. However, I've noticed that in her handouts and notes and such, she has really terrible grammar and even makes spelling mistakes -- granted, English is not her subject, but it's still somewhat painful to see. I'm nervous that her recommendation would be poorly written, and therefore that that might reflect poorly on me. Thoughts?

You have a valid concern. The credibility of the review writer is always an issue. This is the case for college applications, or job references, etc. If you’re uncomfortable for whatever reason with the person writing your review, trust your instinct and ask someone else.
