Is the SAT Biology as hard as the AP Biology?

I'm taking AP Biology this year and want to take the AP test in May. Is the SAT Biology test harder or easier than the AP? Should I study the same things? And what is the difference between Biology E and Biology M?

The level of difficulty is similar, though it is harder to score well on the ST than it is on the AP exam due to the finer distinctions between scores. You can get like a 130/190 on the AP Bio exam and get a 5 while only -2 or so on the SAT for an 800. However, taking the course will prepare you quite well for the exam, and if you supplement it with prep books, you’ll do fine. E has more to do with graphs and ecological effects while M is usually much smaller in scope, yet deals with things such as sodium-potassium pumps, sarcomere and muscle function, macromolecules, etc. I personally took E, though many people find M to be easier. Experiment and see which is right for you.
