Will someone please explain what the screenwriting program is like here?(:

I think a current student can best answer your question, but I can put in my 2 cents! DS is a freshman screenwriting major and he seems really happy with his decision so far. At Chapman you get to take screenwriting classes right out of the gate. One of his assignments was to write an 8 page script for upper division film production majors. Students live in dorms based on their school, so Dodge students live together, which he likes. I just had a conversation with one of S’s friends who said that students at Dodge pride themselves on having a collegial environment where people collaborate on projects, unlike the cutthroat environment at some other schools’ film departments. Have you had a chance to tour Chapman and Dodge College? I would highly recommend this if it’s feasible for you. I think you’ll be impressed overall. Good luck to you in your college search!
