Hey guys, just posted this in the USC sub-forum and wanted a little bit of advice. I have currently narrowed my college choices to either attending the University of Oregon as a Freshman, or working my way through the Trojan Transfer Plan at a California CC in order to meet USC's requirements. I'd like to major in Journalism and minor in Sports Media Studies or Sports Marketing, which are some of the strongest programs at both USC and Oregon. Ultimately, I'd like to get an MBA in Sports Marketing or Management, with both schools offering fantastic graduate programs in both. So, is USC worth it? USC is my dream school, but I feel that I wouldn't necessarily be receiving the "true" USC experience as a transfer student. In addition, it would be a lot of work and drag studying at a CC for a year or more, and honestly I'd much prefer not to. Oregon's Journalism and Sports Business programs are top tier, especially their MBA in Sports Management at the Warsaw School. So, I'm torn. Do I tough it out and get into my dream school of USC, or does it even matter for what I want to study? Is Oregon just as good for me? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm freaking out right now! Thanks!
