While searching on the ways to choose a University, I read that considering the location and its link to the major is important. This raises one’s opportunities for internships and the future job. Majoring in a university near to the heart of my career’s business I mean.
Good thinking. Cars=Michigan. Lobbying=Wash DC. Hospitality=Florida. Environmental Engineering=Places with lots of active manufacturing faclities, Especially chemicals. Houston and the Delaware Valley area come to mind. Califonia has lots of regulations and that probably keeps environmental engineers busy.
Better yet… go to LinkedIn and search for people, colleges and jobs with the word “environmental engineer” . Interesting … Denver pops up.
That’s really helpful! Any thoughts about the North East to?
I found another destination for Environmental studies… Oregon !

What kind of environmental engineering interests you?
colorado_mom asked a good question. Note that environmental engineering is very different from environmental studies. Also, studying the environment is different than getting a job. And be careful about Oregon. You need to be where the need and money is. One of the largest frims in the industry moved their HQ from Corvalis to Denver. Again, LinkedIn offers a good view of the market.
