Scholarships and financial aid too. This site seems to have a lot of potential ones present.

All scholarships? You realize that there are thousands of scholarships right?

talk.collegeconfidential.com/financial-aid-scholarships/1151-financial-aid-scholarship-resource-threads-start-here.html

There’s also a thread by BobWallace that has institutional full rides.

ALL the scholarships at ALL 3000 or so colleges…plus private scholarships too? Sorry…that would be a huge list.

You would be better, served to look at what is already here…plus look at schools where you might apply. In other words…narrow down your criteria!

Most money seems to come from the colleges, so IMO, your time would be better spent identifying the school that is a good fit, that is looking for students like you.
You could spend a lotta time on fastweb with little to show for it.

The same could be said about spamming Chances threads–18 in the past 6 days!

Instead, why not spend that time researching scholarships that you might be competitive for based on academics, ECs, location, etc.?

Chance threads are totally useless. I love the “I’ll chance back”. None of them really have a clue.

Maybe sherwoodbrad could construct the proposed list.

Sherwood,

You’re asking for a ridiculous list. It would be like asking for us to construct a list of every grocery product on the market.

Why don’t you tell us what your situation is and we’ll direct you to the right thread or info (stats, amount parents will pay, intended major, career goal, parents’ income status (low, middle class $40-85k, upper middle class $85k - $160k, upper class $160k+)

the net-net is that OP needs to know where can he get a scholarship with the following stats:

Act
27 composite
28 superscore
27 English
30 math
25 reading
28 science
28 English/writing

Overall gpa ~3.85
Full IB courseoad

The OP needs to try the SAT and/or spend some serious prep time on the ACT and retake that.

^^^

Yes!

Sherwood, you need to get your ACT up to at least a 30, preferably a 32+ for good sized merit.

As for need-based aid, that will depend on your parents’ assets and the schools’ policies on aid, so there isn’t going to be a list that customized for your personal circumstances. A school can have a rep for being super generous, but if they think your parents can afford to pay, they won’t give you a dime.

*I am a current junior an looking at these schools
Purdue
Georgia tech
Uiuc
Louisville
Kentucky
In no particular order can you guys chance me for these schools here are some of my stats
Act
27 composite
28 superscore
27 English
30 math
25 reading
28 science
28 English/writing

APHG 4
Ap Wh 2

Took most rigorous classes offered *

You won’t get any aid at most/all of those schools if you’re OOS for them. Those are state schools. They don’t give much/any need-based aid to OOS students. And, your stats are too low for them to give you merit. (maybe some at Kentucky??)

Your stats are “average” for most of those schools. You have to have top scores for merit for most of those schools.

You need a different list.
