Is there a way to check the status of my application?

I am a regular decision applicant, but I haven't heard of any confirmation that JHU received my application. All the other colleges I have applied to sent a login/pw to check the status of my app. Does JHU have anything like that?

You should have gotten a postcard that said your application had been received and they would let you know if you were missing anything.

I haven't gotten a postcard. Is the admissions office going to email me with missing materials, or is it through snail mail?

At this point I think you should just call the admission office and ask. If you didn't get a postcard something weird is going on.

I haven't gotten a postcard either. Alright I'll call the admissions.

Postcards get lost in the mail. You're getting paranoid. I never received a postcard when I applied a few years ago but I had no problems. If they haven't contacted you to tell you that you're missing something, you're probably fine.

Well, I'll take the fact that I got the ISIS info as proof that they received my app. If you got any other info from them like that then that's probably all the proof you need.

Advice from the CC boards is fine, but I'm a big fan of calling the admissions office whenever you have a question. Get the answer right from the source.

Wouldn't it be great if Hopkins has some source that provided updated information about the admissions process and answers to frequently asked questions. Oh wait ... isn't there something like an Admissions Blog -- yeah, the Hopkins Insider (Hopkins Insider).

Hey and look at this:

Is my application complete? Do you have all my stuff?
With the volume of materials we need to process right now (see pictures below), we are just not able to confirm whether application files are complete or to identity which individual items have been received. It takes time so we ask patience of all of our applicants.

All applicants will be mailed an acknowledgment postcard (they are blue) after your application is received AND PROCESSED. This indicates your application file has been opened (not necessarily that it is complete. It can take up to 4-6 weeks for these postcards to be sent and received (more for international mailing addresses).

In late February, once we have processed all received application materials, we will contact students whose applications remain incomplete. Those students will be given an opportunity to provide us with any missing items before we complete the evaluation of their applications. Rest assured that application files are checked carefully for completeness multiple times.

Can I check my status online? Why haven't I gotten a user name and password to check my status through the application portal?
We do not have an online system for checking application status. We do things the old-fashion way. You will not receive a log-in and password where you can track your application materials. (Also note, those who apply for financial aid will get access to the ISIS system that tracks financial aid application materials. This system has nothing to do with applications for admission.)

Should I be concerned that I haven’t got my ISIS information yet?

^don’t worry, I didn’t get mine either. Unless we’re both supposed to worry… I guess we’ll be getting ours any day now.

my D didn’t get hers either and she applied for financial aid… however she got the blue post card like 1 month ago or even 2, i don’t remember… by the way how do u get access to the ISIS infos??? by getting a password? or a special link on the website???

I haven’t either. Peabody sent me an email saying they got my FAFSA but no actual Isis link/information.
(I’m applying to double degree)

Contact the financial aid office - fin_aid@jhu.edu or 410-516-8028 - if you have questions about an ISIS account.
