I know gradeinflation.com has some colleges on there, but not all. Is there any site which tells you an updated average undergraduate GPA?
I want to go on to Dental school so I want to pick a college known more for grade inflation so I have a better chance at getting the high GPA needed to get into dental school.
Dental schools will be aware of colleges that inflate grades and will deflate them in evaluating your application.
You need to check each schools website (look under Analytic Studies and Institutional Research) and not all will be transparent about their GPA’s by major. I would pick a school that you feel fits you academically/socially and financially for the best chance for success.
Probably important to analyze your prospects by major as well, not just university. With that said, keep in mind that your grades will be curved relative to your peers. It would make sense that your spot on the curve would be higher at a less selective school. Does not mean to target the easiest schools possible but mid-tier schools should keep you challenged and position you for dental school.
No, there is no central database of college GPAs.
