I was just waitlisted at wharton, and Im going to ride that out but assuming I have to resort to other plans I am looking at my future. Iv been accepted to boston u, Northeastern, Fordham, Bentley, Binghamton, and Denver U but will probably attend BU for the prestige and the resources. If I keep a high GPA in BU, is there any shot at a transfer, like more than high school admissions? I heard that Wharton is hard to transfer into because of the specific curriculum, but I want to end up there. Can you transfer after your first semester is completed?

no you can only transfer in for the fall semester of each year.

is whartons curriculum so set that there is no point in transferring for my second year? Can a student from BU get into wharton?

Anyone can transfer into penn. People from my local community college have transferred to ivy league schools (including penn) many times. As far as the wharton curriculum goes, I'm sure that it will be harder (speaking from educated guessing, not experience) to come into it your sophomore year, but a degree from the best business school in the nation could be worth it, depending on your priorities, and if you're willing to put in the hard work you can probably catch up. It will be harder to get into as a transfer than as a freshman, which is almost always the case at any school, but whether or not you stand a chance really depends on what you do with your freshman year at another college. Keep your grades up and do some really interesting and unique ECs, and then apply and see what happens! Good luck!
