Is there any point to taking both Calculus AB and BC?

@itsgettingreal17, an AB to BC progression model doesn’t lead to students being unprepared for college math. Terminal BC isn’t even necessary for college math success in STEM majors; plenty of students do just fine with only AB in high school, and even with no calc at all.

IMO, Calc AB is pointless if you aim to take BC in the future. As previous posts explain, BC gives credit that AB provides and more, and BC covers all content that AB covers in the first semester. If you’re confident and have good mathematical aptitude to keep up with the pace, then skip to BC.
