Due to the fact that I am not currently in the country and do not intend to be for the next 3 years, is there a good university that I can try to do online classes at? I want to further my education but do not know where to go or what to do because I am not physically present in the USA right now. (i did my schooling years in USA and am a US born citizen)

I want something that could be recognized the same as me having gone to a physical university. I assume you do the same amount of work at an online university that you would do at a local university

Anyone? Would really appreciate some guidance

This might be a good place to start.

Brigham Young? UIUC online math?

What is your budget? there are real univs that do this and your degree is the same as if you went to campus, but how much can you pay?

There are lots of brick and mortar schools that now offer completely online. Just google the online undergraduate. Keep in mind though that tuition is the same as the school (although you won’t have room and board) and they would most likely not give you aid from their funds. You would need to go to private loans and grants.

You can save a little money by going year round. Some courses are also condensed. I was accepted at a completely online gradual degree program at Boston University and would have completed my master’s in healthcare communications in about 18 months. But it was $37,000 to get the degree and with a child about to go to college I did not want to spend the money.

Is there a particular major you are interested in? To make sure your degree will be widely accepted, make sure the college is Regionally accredited. That is the strongest of accrediting bodies, Regional, Not National. It is a low hurdle anyway and doesn’t indicate qualify, do your due dilligence on that. There is a forum here for online colleges, but it is a bit sleepy. You might browse to read previous posts on the subject.

@dyiu13 BYU doesn’t offer degrees but only courses, if my memory serves.

Two programs that have been around for a long time, and that offer some live courses as well as online ones all around the world are:

Check your own home-state public U too, and take a look at this forum:
