just asking becase i'm afraid that something stupid like that is gona happen

Who would go out of their way to do that to you?

BTW, which schools did you apply to?

and...

whats your fulll name?

and...

ssn?

yeah but what if they know 2/3 from above (they dont know ssn)

Do you suspect a particular individual, or are you just feeling paranoid?

If you suspect someone in particular, and if you have reason to believe that he/she would do that to you, you could contact the college(s) in question and have them flag your file.

If they send a letter, wouldn't they need to put your address? Do they even know your address? The person would also have to go out of their way to get the stamps. If they do send something like a withdrawal letter, wouldn't you need to confirm it (Not sure about this one). Anyway, I would try to provide as much information as I could to prove they're receiving things from the real person. I would also try contacting the school that you're applying to to give them a heads up if you are that certain something like this would happen.

Seriously? Of all the things to worry about; is this now a real concern?

Looks like someone has too many enemies.

it's really not about enemies...it's more about random people not wanting me to transfer out and doing something stupid like this. Am I being too paranoid? What should I do?

i think you're being too paranoid. just keep your applications on the hush hush, and no one ever needs to know until you get in/tell them

what if said person might have seen "Cornell supple.." on the desktop of my computer? This is basically what started it all

If I saw a someone with cornell supplement who I don't even know, I wouldn't even care.
If I saw a person with a cornell supplement who I am neutral about, I wouldn't do anything.
If I saw a person with a cornell supplement who I am friends with, I'd talk to him and hope for the best for him.
If I saw a person with a cornell supplement who I hate, I would find other ways of hurting him besides sabotaging his application. There are easier ways like common pranks, etc.

Sabotaging a person's college application means that there something is very wrong them. If they don't seem vengeful or hateful, then don't worry. I doubt random people will even care. Besides, they have to know some information about you to even think about doing something to you.

If you're applying to any UC's in addition to Cornell, be assured that it would be highly unlikely that they can sabotage it. Reason being UC's have a special applicant ID number that they assign and you need that in order to terminate your application besides name/address/social security etc...

even if this person has a little bit of malice towards me, should I just calm the f*** down before making myself look stupid and possibly endangering my chances by notifying the admissions office of this? I feel like i should just let "fate" decide this whole admissions issue.

maybe its true. maybe it wasnt meant to be.

I'm guessing you were at your desk and your roommate (whom you don't get along with very well) saw it and now you're scared.

Am I close?

close...but a little less of what you might think as not getting along well

it's just like a prank-playing thing that goes on....

should I be scared? or am I going crazy?

I would relax, I'm sure they would call you or email you to confirm this sort of thing. In which case you can tell them the story.
