hey i got accepted into indiana kelley, uiuc business school and rutgers(instate) business school. i wanna major in finance b/c ppl say thats where all the money is but then they start talking about ibanking and stuff. i hear that ibanking can make tons of money but then you have 0 social life. i wanna end up somewhere in NYC after i graduate. is there anythign i can do with a finance and/or accounting major in nyc besides ibanking that will make decent money? im also waiting on texas, unc, nyu, wisconsin, and usc all for business but i doubt i'll get into any of them. anyone have any opinions? all are welcome!!!

I am going to major in finance at Indiana and I want to go into trading. You can also go into Consulting, Venture Capitalism, Real Estate, Private Equity.

problem is ibanking is one of the main work exp PE/HF's like lol :{
but yea that is a good list - and all of those make $$$

Investment banking is a very small part of the finance world. Finance majors fill positions such as accounts receivable manager, business branch manager, corporate loan officer, Stockbroker, personal banker, portfolio manager etc.
