Is there chance for me to recieve merit based aid from Lehigh U?

so my family's EFC says we can pay for college without a problem. according to my parents, this is not true. we have a decent amount of money saved, but I have a sister and brother who will both be entering college within 4 years after me.
my top choice is Lehigh U, but without merit based aid, there is no way I could possibly go.
what are my chances?

Have you looked at Lehigh’s website? This page describes their financial aid and merit awards: [Lehigh University: Undergraduate Admissions: Tuition & Financial Aid: Types of Aid](http://www4.lehigh.edu/admissions/undergrad/tuition/aidtypes.aspx)

…check out college data 411…it appears about 6% without need get an average of about $10K…mostly need-based…

i’ve been looking at their different merit awards, but i was wondering if anyone knew what they meant by “top tier” of the applicant pool, and “excelling acceling academically/demonstrating leadership skills”

for example, for math their middle 50% is 630-710 (i have a 710), but then their critical reading is 590-630 (and i have a 750)

so, i’m kind of confused…

You have a chance but it’s not a guarantee. You need to have other options just in case the finances don’t work out at Lehigh.
