Is there space!!!

I visited the UCB campus once and sat through a chemistry class.
Im not too sure how many students were there, I think over 200.
As I was obeserving the class, I saw a bunch of student without seat, sitting on the stairs. It was really crowded.

Is UCSD the same; does the lecture halls have enough space to have every student seated-even the late onces?

Yes, and so does berkeley (I think, anyway). It was probably people going to another lecture of the same class or sitting in. Here at 'SD, we have people sitting in the isles, but that is because there is a waitlist on classes, which would mean an overflow in lectures.

usually they have people sitting on the stairs for the first week
and then the classes get emptier every week =P

…and as the semester goes on, fewer and fewer people show up, out of laziness and the fact that most professors post their lectures online.

-a chronic class-ditcher (i had better things to do)
