I am applying to Notre Dame RD and I have maintained a 3.97 unweighted GPA throughout high school with only two A-'s sophomore year. When I submitted my transcript in the fall all of my senior grades were A’s. For my midyear report though I now have 3 A’s and 4 A-'s. I am taking a challenging course load, but will this be looked upon in a negative light? Will it affect my admission chances?
Notre Dame will take into consideration that you are taking tough courses. Obviously, it’s a lot easier to get an A in a honors class than it is in an AP class.
Does Notre Dame distinguish between A and A-? Lots of high schools don’t use minuses and plusses so I was wondering if they look at them.
Your grades are good.
I don’t think Notre Dame pays a lot of attention to the pluses or minuses. What matters most after your grades are your essays and ECs.
