i already sent my apps out, but i noticed a mistake. on the drop-down for the extracurricular menu i put student government under "Academics." i do't think it's a huge deal because i wrote student government underneath that.

It's not a big deal.

Breathe.

What about accidentally putting NHS as "community service" instead of "academics." I mean, I do community service in NHS, but it is an academic club. I don't want to look like some sort of poser....

^^^ i was unsure of which to put for nhs...community service or academic club... i still can't decide, since it's technically both.

You will not look like some sort of "poser." If anything, they'll think that you just associate NHS with community service more than with academics, which is fine.

People, I had a glaring typo (as in, wrote "reseason" instead of "preseason") under one of the activity descriptions on my MIT app. I got in. You'll live, too. Something like this will not be the sole thing that gets you rejected/accepted.

Lol thanks, it is always nice to hear reassurance from someone other than my mom. :)

my other issue was with tennis. from the drop down menu i chose varsity tennis. i chose grades 9-12. i played jv in grade 9 and clarified that in the description area. is that ok?

@stefany- No problem.

@Spartan- you're fine.

only two people in my graduating class get elected to student government but i just put elected 9-12. is there a point in clarifyng this?
