Pardon my ignorance but is this what a typical business degree would consist of?

I want to go into Sports Management but I also want to get a good paying job. If that link that I showed is for a business degree I'd go that route and get an MBA in SM. I'm confused though because I thought that would fall under the Carlson School of Management. Thanks!

You have a lot of math in your foundation coursework… ew. This are the business majors at my school for you to compare: https://webapps-prd.oit.umn.edu/pcas/viewCatalogSearchResults.do?campusId=UMNTC&programType=BACC

It’s a business edu major so it’s not so typical but it has many classes that you would see in a typical business major.

Since it’s a business edu major would employers still higher someone with that degree?

No

This is the major coursework. Really?

Teaching Marketing Promotion (3.0 cr)
OLPD 3461 - Professional Sales Management (3.0 cr)
OLPD 3424 - Sales Training (3.0 cr)
OLPD 4426 - Strategic Customer Relationship Management (3.0 cr)

That’s why I was confused! But I couldn’t find a straight “business” degree

it’s a Management school so go into a specific business degree. I quickly glanced over and saw they have Accounting and Econ, major in one of those. It will also help you more in the long run as you’ll be specialized in something instead of just having broad knowledge in business.

I’d doubt any employers “higher” business majors.

My bad. There’s my mistake for the day.
