Is this a doable plan? Self Study BC?

Well, I'm probably going to take AP Calculus AB next year. I already get the concepts on a basic level and I just want a slower and firm understanding of calculus. I will self study the BC topics and take the BC exam. I have to take AB to get to BC at my school which I don't like. Do you think maybe 3 prep books, and reading the topics we won't learn in my textbook will keep me fine?

Should I encourage some other student to do it too so I’m not alone? All the people in my class will be seniors.

You won’t need 3 prep books. Honestly, if you understand AB well, BC really is not that difficult and you should be able to learn the few extra topics in BC pretty easily.

honestly just focus on algebra. If you have an in depth understanding of algebra and a good memory for formulas you will ace BC. I got a 5 and knew nothing about BC except the essential formulas in the princeton review book because I took the AB course. I believe if you get every AB question right on BC you can get a 5 but dont quote me
