Is this a good, balanced list?

For reference, I've got a 32 ACT and about a 3.8 UW GPA with band & theatre as EC's. As you might be able to tell, I live in Colorado, so I'd be looking at in-state tuition for most of the schools on my list.

Safeties:
Colorado Mesa University
University of Northern Colorado
(these are pretty low-reaching regional schools that my admission and full financial aid would basically be guaranteed at, with ACT ranges of about 18-24. Is that going TOO safe?)

Matches:
Colorado State University
University of Colorado Boulder
Wagner College

Reaches:
Fordham University (academically closer to a match, but definitely a financial reach)
Barnard College
University of Notre Dame

Thanks for your input!

maybe a match/reach

Might add Holy Cross-top25 LAC with good financial aid. HC has beautiful campus 1 hour from Boston.

You are a sure thing for CSU and CU Boulder, and they are both well-regarded. I agree that your “safeties” are unnecessary, so skip them unless you prefer one of them to CSU for financial or location reasons.

I can’t chance you for your reaches…maybe someone else will step up? But yes, you have a fine list.
