Is this a good college essay topic?

Topic I'm planning to writing on common app is this:

Evaluate a significant experience, achievement, risk you have taken, or ethical dilemma you have faced and its impact on you.

I'm thinking to write about the risks and experience I have with getting my license. Because my family is poor we only have one car. I want to say how I become more responsible and gratitude by putting through this situation. Also what I have learn about life through mistakes in driving. I don't know if this will be a lame college essay topic.

It all depends on the way you tell it, portraying something so normal as getting you lisense as a risk could be kind of interesting. Make sure your essay portrays who you are and not what your situation is.

The one above me is right. You can write a college essay about anything you want, it is more about the way you write it and getting yourself across in the words. It could work really well if delivered correctly. :)
