My stats can be found in this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1514351-what-some-good-safety-schools-me.html

How does my college list look in terms of match/reach/safety distribution? Have I categorized each school correctly?

Reaches:
Mount Holyoke College
Bryn Mawr College
Trinity College
Gettysburg College

Matches:
Dickinson College
Skidmore College
WPI
UConn (in-state)

Safeties:
Ithaca College
College of Wooster
Wheaton College (MA)

Too many small private LAC’s. Apply to some inexpensive public OOS universities like:

Iowa State University
University at Buffalo
University of Minnesota- Twin Cities
SUNY Stony Brook

Why does it matter if I apply to OOS publics versus small LACs where I’m above the average?

I don’t know why it matters, either, Disco. I think your list looks reasonable.

@redhuntinghat Oh, I was under the impression that Wooster was also pretty liberal?

If it’s really conservative then maybe I’ll replace it with Clark University.

I’d agree with the above that MHC seems more like a match. On your other thread I suggested Smith as a reach.

Maybe Susquehanna? Good merit aid, SAT optional, nice LAC atmosphere.
