is this a good finain package?

Hi, my efc was 0 from fafsa. I'm really clueless bout financial aid so is this a good package?

Estimated Cal Grant A 9,708
Estimated Federal Pell Grant 4,260
Federal Work-Study 2,500
Federal Perkins Loan 500
Subsidized Federal Stafford Loan 3,500
Federal SEOG Grant 1,100
University Grant 25,528

Estimated Cost of Attendance 49,742
- Total Financial Aid 47,096
= Additional Loan Eligibility 2,646

um ya... you're getting a $25,528 GRANT, and $9,708 from the Cal GRANT, oh wow and i just noticed you are also getting a $4,260 Pell GRANT
ha you should be very pleased, that is a hell of a lot of grant money that you don't have to pay back, what more do you want? lol ;]

This is basically a "what are my chances" thread where the OP has a 4.0UW GPA, 2100 SAT, and has cured cancer, but still wonders whether or not s/he will get into his/her dream school haha :D

exactly lol sorry to be mean but i really hope you aren't complaining about your fin aid

^the OP was not complaining, he/she was merely asking a question

yea that's a really good package, congrats!

thats kinda like me. basically ur family can either take out the loan, or just pay wutever the loan amount is :D

that's SUCH a good package, if i'd gotten that, i definitely would've chosen usc.

I have to certainly agree with 2 + 2 = 5. I mean, c'mon, you're taking out roughly 6500 a year in loan and work study for a university that costs 46k! Of course it's an awesome package. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but this thread is so an attempt to gloat. Sheesh...

i second that

Yes, this is the "gold standard" financial aid package. As good as it gets. A "free ride."

USC (and most other schools) always leave a small gap (here $2646), even in their best packages, that you can fill with summer earnings.

I woulda run down the street naked if I had gotten that package...I think you are getting more money than the trustee scholars!
Congrats!

It's actually not 46k anymore. They've raised it to 49k, or at least that's what the financial aid office said.

that is a very nice financial package. I am surprized you are "asking". And if you cancel your health club subscription and use the gym, you will have money to put toward the "shortfall"
