Is This A Good Freshmen College Class Schedule???

So i just registered for my college classes for freshmen year and I am wondering if i made a mistake.
On MON/WED/FRI, I have: Math:10-1050, Art: 11-1150, History:12-1250, and English:1-215
So I only have 1 class (Math:10-1050) on Tuesday and NO CLASS on Thursday. Did I make a mistake by having Back to Back to Back to Back classes on Mon/Wed/Fri. I figure I will eat before 10 and then eat again at 230. So for those who have been to college, is this good or bad? I figure i will have all day to study on Tuesday and Thursday plus the weekend. Also, I will be attending California State University Fullerton. Thanks! EDIT!!!!(I have changed my schedule by taking the HISTORY 11-1150 class and putting it on TUESDAY/THURSDAY so that will have only 3 classes MON/WED/FRI and will have a lunch break. Is this good)???

Just earn a strong GPA and your schedule won’t matter.

This is a really common question–back to back (to back) classes are very good. It frees up your time and you’re not stuck in different parts of campus with nothing to do.

Just make sure you have time to get to each class (they can’t be far from each other if there’s only max of 10 min to walk.) You’ll want to be able to arrive a few min early to every lecture.

I just came back from Freshman orientation and was strongly advised by all the advisors not to stack classes back to back freshman year. I mean, you can stack two classes (I am) but you should have at least an hour break between your Art and History. At least that’s what they suggested to me. And I’m in Honors.
Now, if you think you can handle that, then go for it! You got this!
Oh wait. I just saw your edit. Ok, you’re good. If you had all those back to back classes, that’s just a lot of being in class and if you had tests then that’d be (possibly) 4 tests in a day. But with that edit, you’re gonna be good.

Next year, I stacked up back to back classes from 8 AM to 12 PM and then I have all afternoon off (this is just monday, wednesday, friday). On Tuesdays/Thursdays I only have one class that meets from 9:30-10:45.

Is taking 4 back to back classes really that bad? The way I see it is that I start early, end early and can get my studying done in time to do something else at night and go to bed early (like i didn’t do last year)

^^^It’s not bad if you can concentrate like a normal person before the internet era. I’ve done it.

EDIT: Not at 8AM of course. But that’s a personal preference ;)

4 classes back to back isn’t bad…

What’s bad is if they’re in the same lecture hall. (Legit. Once semester I had 3 hours of lecture in the same room. In that case, you’ve got to at least change your seat).

Otherwise, I’m a big fan of stacking classes. I find I literally do nothing during hour long breaks unless it’s lunch time). I know very few people who can be productive in that time frame.

I set 4 classes back to back at 11,12,1,2 on MWF, except I don’t start til 12 on friday.

Morning classes, EW.

and I get out by 3 both days, so that leaves me plenty of time to study and do other scholarly things I imagine.

pierre, that’s essentially my schedule for next semester too, 8 to noon on MWF and one class TR (although mine is either at 10:50 or 1:50, I can’t remember). Nice big open time slots to do whatever I want (like nap)

I think it’s fine-- just be aware that it might become a problem if you start to have four tests back to back, or four projects due on the same day.

My first semester had some breaks where I was semi-productive. My Spring semester had three and four hour breaks. It was terrible because I would try to do a prelab during that time and would inevitably get distracted. I’ve stacked all my classes with the exception of a lunch break.
