Is this a good package for GW?

I received about 21,000 in merit aid from GW, which means I would be paying about 45,000 a year. I make about 130,000 a year but I have a 3.8 GPA, am top 5% of my school, on honor roll, etc. Is this a typical package? It’s really not a doable about but I really want to go. Should I contest? Any advice?

Seems typical to me. Your stats are pretty “middle of the pack” as far as admitted students go, so I wouldn’t expect you to get anything spectacular for aid, especially given your family’s income.Typically GW will assume you’ll max-out all your federal Stafford loans (about $15,000 of that $45,000), and then tack-on whatever they think you can actually afford based on income, savings, and/or college funds. The school must think it’s reasonable for your family to pay out-of-pocket $30K/yr.
