Filler period

Filler period?

It’s a free period

No language classes? I guess double math makes up for that… Is the government class a social studies/history class? Any electives? Do you know what you want to major in?

I’d put some actually classes on the filler period (doesn’t have to be AP or anything), but just to not look lazy on the senior year.

I don’t know if 2 free periods are necessary…why not try to fill one with an elective? Have you fulfilled all of you graduation requirements (this might be irrelevant, but I know in NJ there’s a laundry list of classes we need to take to graduate)?

I’ve taken 3 years of Spanish already.
And have met all the graduation reqs.
The electives my school offer don’t really interest me and it very popular at my school that almost every senior has free periods.

The Economics is a social studies.
I want to major in computer science but my school doesn’t offer anything leading up to it.

I’m taking practically the same thing this year, including the free periods, but with AP Calc BC instead of dual credit. It’s a really nice, easily manageable schedule.

If you’re interested in CS, you might try self-studying for that, or learning a programming language (or HTML/CSS) by yourself. You could also self-study an AP course that would fulfill any general requirements your college of choice would require.

Oh thank you haha.
I hope it’s manageable I’m a cheerleader and I want to be able to handle everything as easily as I did this school year.
I really do want to begin self studying for CS.

Its called open campus not “filler period”

It’s called filler period at my school. I’ve never even heard of the term open campus. Sorry.

filler period? open campus? What wrong with free period like the rest of the world?

Interesting schedule btw. I wouldn’t have free periods. I don’t want to seems lazy lol.

I was going to use my free periods to do homework or get a job (me and my family could really use the money).

I’m doing basically the same thing…

Free Period

So basically two free periods… Ehh oh well my other classes will be hard I think it’s fine.

I know people that are using their free periods to have a longer work schedule, and it seems to be working for them. If you want to self-study AP CS, I suggest starting now - it’s a good idea to get some programming experience.

Don’t complain about them being called filler classes or open campus, mine are called IDT (Independent Decision Time), I kid you not. And I would suggest adding an elective or a language class or something, but otherwise, I think your schedule is fine.

^ahahaha I lol’ed. That is so weird
