Is this a qualifying ISEE score?

Hello, this is my first post in CC. Wondering (a little nervously) my daugher's chance (applying for 7th grade) for following schools: Winsor, Noble, Milton, BBN

ISEE:
Verbal 86%
Reading 95%
Quantitative 99%
Math Achievement 99%

Appreciate any insights, experience, opinions.

Those scores are competitive anywhere. No worries on that front.

Thanks, checkwriter,

anybody has anything specific to share (especially Winsor, Noble) - the most important factors they consider; average ISEE score; EC’s etc.

My daughter attends Winsor. Based on what I observe in the students there, my impression is that the school does an excellent job of finding girls that fit in academically and in terms of personality. I assume that the interview and student “essay” (admissions questionnaire) are weighed significantly in the process. Those ISEE scores you listed should be strong enough for any of the schools. No personal experience with Nobles, but the reputation is that they’re both very good schools, with stronger athletics at Nobles vs stronger academics at Winsor.

As a Winsor parent, I can tell you that those scores are very competitive. Congrats to your daughter and good luck. BTW, Winsor is a great place and as IB mentioned, Admissions strives to put together a class that gets along academically as well as in personality. We have been very happy and our daughter is thrilled. As a few other posts on CC have noted about Winsor, in class I-IV, it is a typical middle school with girls coming from different types of grammar school experiences (public, private, charter, religious). They are learning their way (academically and socially) and navigating their Tween and Teen years with their newfound independence (and it is an independent type of place but also very nurturing!). By 8th grade (not an entrance year), the class is more or less complete (with the exception of those few who leave for HS and the others… 4-8 give or take…who are accepted in 9th/10th grade). They also start preparing the girls for Upper School and the rigorous academics ahead of them. It’s a great place.

All 4 of the schools your daughter is applying to are top notch - good luck!
