is this an ec?

i collect books that people are throwing out and i give them to charity. i donated over 1,000 books so far.

Also, i collected/fixed up and donated over 50 children's bikes.

do these count as ec's?

It won't count as an EC, but you can mention it in one of your essays.

The book thing is kind of odd. Where do you find the books?

neighbors, friends, teachers, and craigslist

i found that people were usually too lazy to donate them directly, so i acted as the middle man

that is so cool

that is like totally awesome11111!!!!!!1111111!!!!!!!

i would view it as community service, and, imo, that's an EC. I say yes.

I second Sheed...dude, if you are doing so, DO MENTION IT EXTENSIVELY! that can VERY LIKELY make you SHINE among bunch of applicants! ;)

=O A side of michaeljackson on CC that we've never seen.
D: Could it be the apocalypse? OMG WHERE'S THE SUN?!?

It's called community service.....
