Wondering if this will at all be looked upon as a positive rather than a negative?

fresh yr - 3.57/4.00

soph yr - 3.42/4.00
soph yr - 3.57/4.00

jun yr - 3.57/4.00

---and i was wondering if: so rankings just came out for top 100 public schools in the nation based off APs, and SAT scores i believe and my school is ranked 44th. Will this help at all? Show how competative it is?

thanks a lot!

I mean it’s good that your school is ranked high but most students are looked at the context of your own school so it doesn’t really matter, unless you’re ranked high

and yes, that’s an upward grade trend.

hears the thing…
my class is sooo competative.
we have about 10-11 kids applying to Stanford, 8 kids applying to Yale, 5-6 applying to Princeton… and a whole bunch of UCLAs and UCBs…actually lots of Gtowns too.
my class rank is not very good i do not know it exactly all i know is it is top 40 -50%… so i am hoping that bc the average SAT for my class is soo great and almost everyone will attend a 4yr university.. that my counselor sheet will show this, ya know! ahh

lol i feel stupid sorry that should say “heres the thing…”

bump.

It should really say, “Here’s the thing…”

If almost everyone in your high school attends a four-year university, I would ask your guidance counselor which ones people around the middle of the class have attended, and consider applying to several of them. Your odds will likely be better at universities that know your high school’s reputation.
