i just borrowed "The Princeton Review's 11 Practice Tests for the New SAT: 2006 Edition" from the local library... does anyone know if the practice tests in this book are an accurate reflection of what you should score on the real test? because i remember taking the online princeton review practice SAT and i got a 1500... but then when i took the real SAT i got a 2000...

how long was the time you took princeton review's test and the real SAT? Most people do well on the real SAT because they're all pumped up and being optimistic. Also The practice tests are usually more difficult.

Most people do well on the real SAT because they're all pumped up and being optimistic.

Haha. Wish it were the case for me.

how long was the time??? idk it was an online test and it was timed... i took it like a week before i took the real SAT.

i heard that everyone scores A LOT lower on princetonreview.com's practice SAT test though because they want you to think you suck at the SAT so you sign up for their SAT prep classes.

i was just wondering if their book was the same way as well...

NOOOOOOOOOOOO

don't use prep books as predictions
i took EVERY SINGLE TEST in the 11 practice tests book and could NOT score above a 2270. i was pleasantly surprised when i walked into the SAT and got a 2390. however, it is worth noting that I got a 227 on the PSAT, around the time that I was going thru the Princeton Review book.

someone told me that i can use the Blue Book as an accurate indicator of how my progress is coming.

so i guess the same doesn't apply to the PR book?

well I used the blue book and i had the same problem...i never scored above 2300 in it.
but don't worry about that. the blue book has official practice problems, so use them to practice and increase your skills. don't concentrate on predicting your score or marking your progress by some arbitrary numbers. just keep practicing!

If you can use the blue book as it is the best source of practice. But I used the PR 11 for math practice (w/o the BB as i didn't have it at that time) and I went up 100 points so it's good for math practice.

Princeton Review 11 Tests is excellent! 2370 thanks to PRINCETON REVIEW!

What abt the princton review online course (or the interactive one)?
