A girl in my class (currently second ranked in the class) often has her sister call the office under the guise of her mother to excuse her when she isn't prepared for a test. She then asks other students about the test and retakes it later.

In my school this would be considered cheating, but cheating goes unpunished very often because it usually doesn’t get caught. I would recommend not reporting it, and letting her learn from her mistakes herself. Some teachers give out different tests to students who were absent at my school.

Yeah, but it’s probably no use to get involved…it seems like the teachers probably already know about it on some level and they just aren’t doing anything. I mean, why would you just happen to get sick on test days all the time?

lol everyone in my Spanish class does this at my school, it’s just a tactic really. I bet the teachers are able to notice a trend and will soon get on her about it.

Anonymously reporting it would probably work. You could figure out when she has tests and tell the office that she’ll probably be excused in said hours. Proof is right there; caught red-handed…

Of course it’s cheating. Yes, find a way to report it. While I agree that Karma may come around and bite her when she gets to college, there is at least one reason to report it: do you want this kid to be salutatorian or possibly valedictorian of your class? Wouldn’t it just make you puke on graduation day if you had to listen to her make some phony speech about hard work and dignity and blah blah blah? You should also be outraged if the instructor grades the exam on a curve.

If you have an anonymous hotline sort of thing at your school, report it. My school has this thing were you can anonymously report stuff. That way, you wouldn’t actually get involved. Plus, how did you find out? Does she talk about it a lot? If that, then she make eventually get caught anyway.
