<p>Hi, I'm probably overthinking this, but i wanna run this by people. Would saying that my school and its students lack unity, academic discourse, and intellectual curiosity be dissing?</p>

<p>Like ChadVene said, nothing wrong with dissing your school if you are making valid points for why you want to transfer. It’s good to try to distinguish your school from the schools you’re applying to.</p>

<p>It’s not that bad but you should insist how the school you apply would have a better academic catalog, student body and unity rather than diss your current school.</p>
<p>Yep to above. My GF read apps for a while and anything negative was hurtful. So saying you hold those values and can find them in your prospective school is probably best.</p>
