Is this course schedule manageable?

Fall 2013: Organismal and Evolution Biology (w/ lab); Organic Chemistry Part 1 (w/ Lab); Calculus 1; Spanish 3 (pass/fail)

should be but you’d be better off asking people at your own school who actually know these courses.

I completely agree with IWBB - we do not know exactly which classes at your school are harder and which ones are easy and again, we do not know your personal ablilities in each subject. For example, while math and Foreign language are easy for some, it is not the case for others. Assuming that first 2 are hard, then your schedule follow my D’s rule - only 2 harder classes per semester.

Sounds exactly like my schedule for this year. Biology (Genes, Evolution, and Ecology) w/ lab, honors organic chemistry I w/ lab, a 300-level Spanish class, Sociology 101, and Calc I. Technically I am not taking calc I, I am a TA, but I still have to attend every lecture and probably do all the homework, so I’m counting it.
It sounds pretty manageable to me (to put that into perspective, I just finished my first year with a 4.0 GPA in mostly engineering classes at a university known for insanely large workloads). But I guess I can’t compare myself with you, since I don’t know anything about your academic history or your school.
Anything is manageable if you are willing to put in the work. Good luck
Also, I like that rule of 2 hard classes and the rest easy, MiamiDAP. I will keep that in mind.

The schedule seems reasonable. I would agree with the general approach of trying to spread out difficult classes to keep your GPA up.
