Hi all! I was recently accepted into UCLA (which I'm extremely happy about), but on my UC application I didn't report an AP score in AP Calculus of 2. I didn't report it because it wouldn't have been able to give me any units towards the 60 unit count, and also my major is unrelated to math and doesn't have any math pre-requisites. I'm afraid they'll see it in the wrong light and possibly revoke my admission. What do you guys think?

Call UCLA and ask them.

But I believe you have the choice of reporting AP scores, so I think you’re fine. Still, call them and ask about it.

I had a 5 on AP Calc AB and took Calc I over for Haas, which I didn’t even end up applying for. You don’t have to report it as long as you didn’t use it for credit.

I’ll give them a call then, thanks @Cayton!

@CSB111, what I’m scared about is that I got a 2, and not a passing score, and maybe they’d see it as a bad thing when I didn’t report it.

On the UC website, it says AP scores won’t adversely affect your chances of admission, but I’m not sure if NOT reporting it will adversely affect my chances, and so I feel uneasy

@byallmeans

Definitely call them, but I think you’re fine. Some people probably don’t even remember if they took AP exams, so I don’t it will be much of a problem.

I had a little slip up with reporting my AP score too; I called them today and they said it wasn’t a problem because I didn’t even pass the test. Give them a call tomorrow but you should be fine
