Is this odd? Interview after receiving a likely letter.

I received a likely letter from Harvard (athlete, even though I was initially skeptical about being recruited for athletics). Then, I got contacted for an interview. What would be the impact of this interview? Is it common for applicants who have already received likely letters to be interviewed?

as in most cases, the interview is simply a way to make sure you are sane and a normal social human being
in terms of admissions, anyone who receives a likely letter is 99.99% going to be admitted.

btw, when did you receive your likely letter?
and do you know wat date you applied?
