Is this schedule too much

I'm a freshman with sophomore status (3rd semester standing) and this is my schedule for next fall:

Political Science 455 (3 credits)
Criminology 012 (3 credits)
Art History 305 (3 credits
French 201 (3 credits)
Religious Studies 001 (3 credits)
Science 200 (3 credits)

Is this too much if I'm thinking of getting a part-time job?

18 credits and a part-time Job for a Freshman might be a bit of a stretch. But ti depends on a few things.

First, did you have a part time job in high school?

Second (and you may not find this out until you get to campus) how much work is involved in each of these courses? How many books do they have, how many hours of class each week, exam type/schedule?

I was a student athlete, and had a part-time Job as a junior/senior/super-senior, so I can tell you it can be done, even with more difficult coursework.

I don’t expect these classes to be too time consuming, but I would recommend you wait until second semester to grab the part-time job. Get one good semester under your belt and see how it goes.

Oh sorry, I wasn’t very clear. I’ll actually be a sophomore next year. And I’m not sure about exam type, but from what I’ve seen two of the courses have one textbook and one (French) has 3 or 4. The rest haven’t listed the textbook yet. And I didn’t have a part-time job in high school. Also, I’d have 3 classes every day. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays each class is 50 minutes and Tuesdays and Thursdays each class is 75 minutes.
